How to Practice
Is it easy?
The concept is dead easy. Anyone can do it. The practice becomes easier over time as the mental muscles are developed along with our ability to be compassionate and kind to ourselves. BACK TO TOP
Do I need formal training?
The short answer? Mindfulness can be learned on your own. There are many wonderful resources by experts in the fields. Videos, apps, books, podcasts etc.
The longer answer? You may find that training through a qualified instructor will shorten your learning curve and support you through any bumps along the way. As well, if you practice yoga, you may find yoga centres with trained staff to offer mindfulness techniques.
On a related note, you may be able to access mindfulness training through programs with your employer, physician, counselor or through your insurance company. BACK TO TOP
How do I get started?
Mindfulness is available to us in every moment, whether through meditations and body scans, or mindful moment practices like taking time to pause and breathe when the phone rings instead of rushing to answer it.
Set yourself up for success and start when you are feeling relatively calm.

What does a daily routine look like?
The underling objective is to live a mindul life in the sense that you are mindful of your thoughts over the course of the day not just now and again or during any formal practice in your day, As you start out, though, giving thought to your day ahead and the moments that will lend themselves to being mindful to develop that daily habit can serve you well.
